Dale Earnhardt driving the Richard Childress/Chevrolet won the "Busch Clash" at Daytona International Speedway. Harry Gant drew for the pole. Only eight drivers ran.
Results; 1st # 3 - Dale Earnhardt, 2nd # 9 - Bill Elliott, 3rd #12 - Neil Bonnett, 4th #5 - Geoffrey Bodine, 5th #44 - Terry Labonte, 6th #27 - Rusty Wallace, 7th #33 - Harry Gant and 8th #11 - Darrell Waltrip.
