Jimmy Vasser and Target/Chip Ganassi teammate Juan Pablo Montoya completed a 1-2 sweep of the CART "Texaco Grand Prix of Houston" at Streets of Houston, Houston, Texas, USA. Gil de Ferran was third in the Marlboro/Roger Penske entry, followed by Toronto's Paul Tracy in the Kool/Team Green car.
